Synopsis                       (Published July 2005, Signet)

She’s always the bridesmaid, never the bride. But unlike that Jersey girl her brother is marrying, at least former Miss Texas and out-of-work actress Kiki Sonntag can save her brother’s wedding from bad taste. Too bad Kiki can’t save herself from a nasty tabloid scandal. Until it blows over, she’s hiding out in Manhattan’s hippest new hotel—and enjoying some perks from its playboy owner.

This is the second installment in Signet’s four-part special event series THE BRIDESMAID CHRONICLES.

Take one bride. Add three bridesmaids. And you get four sexy and sassy tales of modern-day romance. From first glance to “I do,” this wedding party is learning about love the hard way—but taking it all in stride straight down the aisle . . .

Behind the Scenes Dish

I was over the moon to be invited to take part in this special mini-series from Signet. Of course, it was all thanks to Kimberly Whalen of Trident Media Group, the ultimate Glam Diva Literary Agent. We are both Sags and possibly were separated at birth (if affinity for Lulu Guinness products, Louis Vuitton pieces, and all things Brad Pitt is worthy evidence). Beyond that, it was a blast plotting back story with Karen Kendall (FIRST DATE and FIRST DANCE) and Julie Kenner (FIRST LOVE). This project also brought me into the celestial orbit of a new editor, Kara Cesare, a whip-smart supergirl who instantly earned a permanent spot on my Adore List.

Rave Reviews

ROMANTIC TIMES BOOKCLUB MAGAZINE
This second entry in the THE BRIDESMAID CHRONICLES easily stands alone . . . The heroine appears at first to be very shallow but is actually rather wise, warmhearted, and likable.

HARRIET KLAUSNER, AMAZON.COM'S #1 REVIEWER
This amusing chick-lit tale stars a female who seems schizoid at times, a tabloid delightful bimbo turning into a Socrates-clone advising her pals and her beloved . . . The lead couple is a fine pairing of two individuals [who go] much deeper than the media's air-brushed fifteen-second sound bite.

MRSGIGGLES.COM
Think of a bizarre sequel to LEGALLY BLONDE starring Paris Hilton . . . Adams has plenty of hilarious one-liners and scenes to tickle the funny bone if bitchy humor is your cup of tea.
