Synopsis                    (Published August 2002, Zebra)

B-movie queen Tatiana Fox’s life has gone the way of her straight-to-video career. She’s been had by the sleazy, the lazy, and the greedy—all on a shoestring budget. First, her husband left her. Then, her nanny quit, deserting her for a bigger star with better perks. Things are finally looking up when Tatiana lands a part in a bona fide blockbuster, but she can’t start shooting until she finds a new nanny for her two year-old twins.

Enter Jack Thorpe. The Aussie ex-soccer star is easy on-the-eyes and eager-to-please, having come to Hollywood in search of his big break, only to find himself flat broke. He respects Tatiana, adores the twins, and needs the money. But what began as a straightforward business arrangement makes a quick change, as Tatiana’s suddenly-scorching career pull her every-which-way . . . and Jack tugs on her heart strings in ways she never expected . . .

Behind the Scenes Dish

I wanted to write a jaw-dropping book that didn't sugarcoat Hollywood, which is a wonderful place but a nasty place, too. Why else would the Promises rehab center be booked solid year round? My goal was to expose the REAL Hollywood, the one that chews up women and spits them out. Because for every one Jessica Alba, there are 20,000 Becky Turners making some very bad decisions about what will get them ahead in the game. Tatiana is part of the gritty world on the B-movie side, and when she moves uptown to bigger features, she finds out that not much is different. Only the catering is better. But this is a comedy! Please, let me make that clear. It was also fun to revisit familiar characters in this project, too. Tatiana first appeared in "Sex and the Single Chocoholic," and Kitty Bishop debuted in FLY ME TO THE MOON. I love the ending to this book. It's one of my favorite wrap-ups.

Rave Reviews

ROMANTIC TIMES BOOKCLUB MAGAZINE
Kylie Adams' story pokes fun at the narcissistic lifestyle of Hollywood celebrity wannabes and has-beens. Alternately funny and serious, this fast-paced romp gives a fresh twist to the classic contemporary romance.

HARRIET KLAUSNER, AMAZON.COM'S #1 REVIEWER
BABY, BABY is a lighthearted romp that satirizes Hollywood super-egos. Jack is a wonderful lead protagonist while Tatiana the wannabe superstar seems like a caricature of a starlet, yet Tatiana the mother and lover seems so human. The story line never takes itself too seriously, entertaining fans from the moment Tatiana receives the message from Kerr ending their marriage until the final curtain call.

MRSGIGGLES.COM
BABY, BABY is fun because it's set in Hollywood, but unlike other Shirley Temple porn written by other romance authors, Ms. Adams isn't afraid to write about the dirty stuff that really makes Hollywood fun.
